Visit the Recovery-funded Free Library ‘Hot Spot’ this summer!

Mercy Neighborhood Ministries has partnered with the Free Library of Philadelphia and is now a Free Library Hot Spot. Hot Spots bring computer access, classes, and the internet to neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia. Each Hot Spot includes computers, a printer, and all necessary broadband equipment, as well as a reference collection of Free Library materials.

The Hot Spot at the Mercy Family Center, at 1939 W. Venango St., continues to transform lives, where their neighbors and families can connect to the internet, take computer classes, and link up with the world around them – all for free and right in the neighborhood.

The Hot Spot at the Mercy Family Center is supported by the Freedom Rings Partnership–a collaboration between the City of Philadelphia and other partners who received Recovery funding via the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP)–brings broadband technology, library resources and digital training into the Tioga- Nicetown community.

The Hot Spot is open Monday to Friday from 1 to 5 PM. For more information, stop by the Center, contact them at 215-227-4393, or visit them at http://www.mercyneighbors.org/.
